Venus is the Goddess of Love
Last year at the 2009 Venus Envy: Celebration of Women in the Arts I was in charge of getting and placing volunteers for the May 2 event. I called upon my good friend, Jenni, to help with a shift manning the front gate/entrance. I’d also been given Kai’s name as a potential volunteer and thought hey, she’s single, he’s single. I’ll be Venus incarnate and put these two together on a shift. It worked!Kai and Jenni are together and celebrating one year of romance and will be volunteering again at this year’s event.
Something to learn here. Give a little of your time to a worthwhile cause and you may be blessed tenfold, give a little of your time and you never know who you might meet and how it can change your life.
